How Do You Connect Ignition Wires On a Chevy S-10?

Chevrolet S-10 that wants to be converted to electric!

Chevrolet S-10 that wants to be converted to electric!

I have a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 that I have converted to electric but I can't for the life of me figure out how to connect the ignition wires for the system with two contactors. Help, please!

Hi Kris -
I sent your question over to Randy Holmquist at Canadian Electric Vehicles. He says:

Depends on whether you have the Curtis or the Zilla controller.
The first contactor I would turn on with the ignition key so as soon as you turn the key to "on" the contactor closes.
The second contactor would have the precharge resistor across it if it was for a Curtis controller and turned on by the pot box micro switch.
If its a Zilla then the Zilla turns on the second contactor and no precharge resistor is used.
